The Butterfly, it seems, is a little settled in Mexico so getting plenty done currently.
These Imperial Mexican troops get me 3 short of a battalion so decent progress, all Wargames Foundry Camerone range.Three Liberals, the last two finish off a battalion of uniformed liberals, most will be in off white civvies. First figure is a Gringo 40's Few more of these to paint before I am anywhere near a unit. Before a brief holiday a bunch more done. These three Imperials finish this battalion and give me a command figure for Sharpe Practice, he looks suitable nasty.
Four Peons in poncho, couple more needed to finish off a battalion of Milicia.
Imperial Mexican Lancer, second of these, this guy just needs a red pennon to be finished.
Some more French, really pleased with the Colourful Chasseurs d’afrique but slightly undecided if the red shako white cover or shako with neck flap looks best to be honest.
The Mexican Imperial lancer in the background has had his lance pennant fixed on.
I should have 3 squadrons of 6 of these guys 2 Perrys and one of the new Warlord ones for Crimea making up the bulk of my conservative / French cavalry
Having picked up a bunch more Camerone figures from chum Dave these are the first two Legionnaires both figures I didn’t have in the 40 painted so far.
So I will continue to focus on French and Imperial troops for now, mainly as Chris has loads of Mexican Liberals already we can use, I will however continue to add a sprinkle of Liberalies as I go.

Hopefully some more Legionnaires and Chasseurs D'Afrique next time.
